April 4, 2011: The readings for today are Judges 12, 13, and 14 and Luke 9:37-62. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

Judges 12:

• List who Gilead fought with and why.

• List the other judges that followed after Jephthah died.

Judges 13:

• List what instructions the angel gave to Manoah's wife concerning prenatal care and the care of her child once it was born.

• List the angel's answer when Manoah asked for the angel's name.

Judges 14:

• List Samson's riddle and the answer.

• List what happened to Samson's wife and those who had obtained the riddle's answer by deceit.

Luke 9:37-62:

• Three men told Jesus that they would follow him. List the excuses the three men gave to Jesus and Jesus' answer.
