April 2, 2011: The readings for today are Judges 8 and 9 and Luke 8:22-56. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
Judges 8:
- List the two places that Gideon asked for food, the towns' answers, and Gideon's answer to them.
- Write out the words of Zebah and Zalmunna in verse 21.
Judges 9:
- List the 4 things that Jotham said when asked to be king.
- List the 3 different attacks that Abimelech brought against Schechem.
- List what happened at the the two towers in today's reading.
Luke 8:22-56:
- Write out what Jesus said in verse 25.
- List the reaction of the people when Jesus healed the demon-possessed man.
- Write out Jesus' words in verse 50.
