April 27, 2011: The readings for today are 2 Samuel 17 and 18 and Luke 21:1-19. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
2 Samuel 17:
- Briefly list the plans advised by:
- Ahithophel
- Hushai, the Arkite
- Briefly list the actions taken by Ahithophel and Hushai after Absalom decided to follow Hushai's advice.
2 Samuel 18:
- List David's three commanders.
- List what happened to Absalom and who was responsible.
- List David's reaction to the news of his son's death.
- List David's wish in verse 33.
Luke 21:1-19:
- List what signs Jesus foretold about the end times.
- Write out verses 14 & 15.
- Write out verse 19.
