April 24, 2011: The readings for today are 2 Samuel 10, 11, and 12 and Luke 19:29-48. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

2 Samuel 10:

• List what was done to David's ambassadors.

• List the battles in this chapter and briefly describe what happened at each.

2 Samuel 11:

• Contrast David and Uriah. Where did both of them sleep while soldiers were at battle?

• List all that David did to Uriah.

2 Samuel 12:

• List all the things Nathan promised that the Lord would do to David because of David's sin with Bathsheba.

• Contrast David's behavior before and after the death of his child.

Luke 19:29-48:

• Write out verse 38.

• List what Jesus predicted about Jerusalem.
