April 13, 2011: The readings for today are 1 Samuel 13 and 14 and Luke 14:1-24. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
1 Samuel 13:
- List how Saul disobeyed the Lord's command and what would happen as a result.
1 Samuel 14:
- List how Jonathan, Saul's son, planned to battle the Philistines.
- List Saul's foolish oath and who disobeyed it.
- List what happened when Saul tried to have Jonathan put to death.
Luke 14:1-24:
- Write out verse 11.
- Write out verse 13.
- List the excuses given for not attending the wedding feast.
- List who was ultimately invited to the feast.
