Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.

The readings for today are 2 Chronicles 23, 24, and 25 and John 16:16-33. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

2 Chronicles 23:

  • Briefly list the secret steps that Jehoida the priest took to crown Joash as king of Judah.
  • List the religious reforms that Jehoida made.

2 Chronicles 24:

  • List all the people who were paid with the money from the chest outside the Temple gate.
  • List what the remaining money was used to make.
  • Briefly list the events that happened after the death of Jehoiada the priest.

2 Chronicles 25:

  • List some of the important things that Amaziah did during his reign.
  • List what King Jehoash of Israel did to King Amaziah of Judah, Jerusalem, and the Temple.

John 16:16-33:

  • Draw a vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "Jesus leaves" and the right column "Jesus returns."
  • From today's reading, list the information in the appropriate column of what will happen and the emotions that people will experience.
  • Write out verses 23b and 24.
  • Write out the last two sentences of verse 33.
