The readings for today are Ezra 3, 4, and 5 and John 20. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

  • Write out the song the Levites sang with praise and thanks in verse 11.
  • list the different reactions to the rebuilt Temple foundation and why.

  • Draw a vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "Enemies" and the right column "Tactics."
  • From the information in today's reading, list the different enemy groups that opposed the rebuilding of the Temple and the tactics they used in the appropriate column.

Ezra 5:

  • List the prophets to Judah and Jerusalem at this time.
  • List the answer the leaders of the Temple reconstruction project gave when asked who gave permission to rebuild.

  • List what the people found in the tomb.
