The readings for today are Esther 4, 5, and 6 and Acts 5:17-42. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
Esther 4:
- Write the last question of verse 14.
- List the preparations Esther asked of Mordecai and her maids to prepare for her undertaking to see the king.
Esther 5:
- List the requests Esther made of the king.
- List Haman's reactions after leaving the banquet. Note Haman's blessings and his one complaint and his choice to be unhappy.
- List the advice given to Haman by his wife and friends.
Esther 6:
- List how the king honored Mordecai.
- List Haman's reaction to Mordecai's honor.
Acts 5:17-42:
- List the reactions of the religious leaders toward the apostles.
- List what Peter says in verse 29.
- List the advice of the Pharisee Gamaliel in verses 38 and 39.
