The readings for today are Esther 1, 2, and 3 and Acts 5:1-16. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
Esther 1:
- List all the banquets in this chapter, who gave them, who they were for, and how long they lasted.
- List what Vashti did and what message the king and his advisers heard.
- List the decree that the king sent to each province.
Esther 2:
- List the beauty treatments.
- Note in the following verses what Esther did:
- verse 10
- verse 15
- verse 20
- verse 22
Esther 3:
- List the reason Haman was angry at Mordecai.
- List what Haman planned to do to the Jews.
- List what Haman's decree provided.
Acts 5:1-16:
- List what Ananias and Sapphira did and what happened to them.
- List the reactions of the people to the apostles.
