Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.
The readings for today are Nehemiah and Acts 2:1-21. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
Nehemiah 1:
- List the main points of the report from Jerusalem.
- List how Nehemiah responded.
- Nehemiah's prayer has four parts. Summarize the main point of each part:
- verses 5-6a:
- verses 6b-7:
- verses 8 & 9:
- verses 10 & 11:
Nehemiah 2:
- List the requests that Nehemiah, the King's cupbearer made.
- List the people who worked against Nehemiah and what tactic they used.
Nehemiah 3:
- Note how the gates and wall sections were repaired by section and groups being in charge of various sections
Acts 2:1-21:
- List a description of the Holy Spirit and what happened to the disciples and others gathered together.
- List what others heard or thought when the disciples and believers spoke in tongues.
- From Peter's recitation of the prophet Joel, list the things that will happen in the last days.
