Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.

The readings for today are 2 Chronicles 17, 18, and 19 and John 15. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

2 Chronicles 17:

  • List the accomplishments of Jehoshaphat, King Asa's son.
  • List the reasons why the Lord was with Jehoshaphat.

2 Chronicles 18:

  • List who Jehoshaphat's son married.
  • Draw a vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "Ahab's prophets" and the right column "Micaiah, the Lord's prophet."
  • From the information in today's reading, put what we learn about the prophets in the appropriate columns.
  • Draw another vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "Jehoshaphat" and the right column "Ahab."
  • List how each king approached and handled battle and what happened in the appropriate column.

2 Chronicles 19:

  • List Jehoshaphat's instructions to his judges.
  • Write out Jehoshaphat's final words from verse 11.

John 15:

  • List who represents the following and what they do:
    • gardener
    • vine
    • branches
  • Write out verses 12 and 13.
  • Write out verses 16 and 17.
  • Write out verses 21, 22, and 23.
  • Write out a description of the Holy Spirit from verse 26.
