Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.
The readings for today are 1 Kings 16, 17, and 18 and John 1:29-51. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
1 Kings 16:
- This chapter tells of several kings of Israel. List each of the rulers mentioned and the sins they committed.
1 Kings 17:
- List the ways that the prophet Elijah was fed.
- List Elijah's instructions to the widow about making bread.
- List what Elijah did when the widow's son died.
1 Kings 18:
- Elijah set up a test for the prophets of Baal. List what happened.
- Write out Elijah's prayer in verse 37.
John 1: 29-51:
- List the disciples Jesus found.
