The readings for today are 2 Kings 9, 10, and 11 and John 5:1-24. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
2 Kings 9:
- List the people who met Jehu and what happened to them.
2 Kings 10:
- List all the people that Jehu killed or had killed.
- List what happened to the priests and temple of Baal.
2 Kings 11:
- List how Joash, the infant son of the killed King Ahaziah of Judah was protected from Ahaziah's mother Athaliah.
- List how the priest Jehoiada had Joash crowned and Athaliah killed.
- List the religious reforms by Jehoiada.
John 5:1-24:
- List the 3 things that Jesus said to the man lying at the Bethesda pool.
- Write out verse 23b.
- Write out verse 24.
