The readings for today are 2 Kings 23, 24, and 25 and John 7:1-31. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
2 Kings 23:
- List what King Josiah did at the Temple.
- List King Josiah's instructions concerning the purge of idol worship.
- List the kings that followed Josiah's reign and note whether they followed the Lord.
2 Kings 24:
- List the kings mentioned in this chapter and note briefly anything significant about their reign or what happened to them.
2 Kings 25:
- List what the king of Babylon did to Zedekiah, the last king of Judah.
- List what was done to Jerusalem and the Temple.
- List the people taken prisoner and put to death in Babylon.
- List what happened to former King Jehoiachin in Babylon.
John 7:1-31:
- List what people were saying about Jesus.
- Write out verses 17 and 18.
