February 25, 2011: The readings for today are Numbers 14 and 15 and Mark 6:1-34. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

Numbers 14: After seeing the Lord perform so many miracles, the Israelites still doubt the Lord's power to lead them successfully into the Promised Land.

• Write out verses 18-19a.

• List the Lord's responses to the Israelites' refusal to enter the land.

Numbers 15:

• List the various offerings that could be made.

• List the reasons why someone would be cut off from the community (verses 30-31).

Mark 6:1-34:

• List what Jesus said in verse 4.

• List what the disciples were to do if a village didn't welcome them.

• List who everyone thought Jesus was.
