February 21, 2011: The readings for today are Numbers 5 and 6 and Mark 4:1-20. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
Numbers 5:
- List the three major topics of this chapter and the basic purpose or solution for each one.
Numbers 6:
- When people take the special vow of a Nazarite, they set themselves apart in a special way. List what they are to do or not to do.
- Write out the Israelite's special blessing in verses 24-26.
Mark 4:1-20:
- Draw a vertical line down the center of the page to form two columns. Label the left column "Parable Elements" and the right column "Meaning.
- List the various elements from the parable and their meaning in the appropriate columns.
