Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.

January 11, 2011: The readings for today are: Genesis 27 & 28 and Matthew 9:18-38. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

Genesis 27:

• List all the ways that Jacob deceived his father.

• List the parts of Isaac's blessing.

Genesis 28:

• List the parts of Jacob's dream.
• List what Jacob did after waking. Notice Jacob's conditional promise in return.

Matthew 9:18-34:

• Jesus is asked to perform 4 miracles. Divide your paper into 3 columns. Label the left column "Miracle," the center column "How Requested," and the right column, "Jesus's answer."
• List each of the 4 miracles, how they were requested, and Jesus's answer or response.

Matthew 9:35-38:

• List Jesus's activities and emotions.

• List Jesus's statements and instructions.
