Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.
The readings for today are Daniel 5 and 6 and 1 John 4. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
Daniel 5:
- List what happened at Belshazzar's feast.
- List a description of Daniel as told by the queen mother.
- List the reason King Nebuchadnezzar was brought down from his throne.
- List the lesson King Nebuchadnezzar had to learn.
- List the words in the handwriting on the wall and what each meant.
- The other administrators and princes searched for a fault in Daniel's work. List what they found instead.
- List what Daniel did when he learned of King Darius's new law.
- List what the kind did during the night Daniel was in the lion's den.
- Note what the king calls Daniel the next morning.
- List what happened to the men who plotted against Daniel (and their wives and children).
- Write out what King Darius says about the God of Daniel.
1 John 4:
- List how to test anyone who claims to speak by the Spirit.
- Write out verse 9.
- Write out verse 12.
- List how we will face judgment day and why (verses 16 and 17).
- Write out verses 18 and 19.
- Write out verse 21.
