Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.

The readings for today are Hosea 12, 13, and 14 and Revelation 3. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

Hosea 12:
  • Draw a vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "People of Israel" and the right column "Lord God Almighty."
  • From the reading, list information about each in the appropriate column.
  • Write out the last phrase of verse 14.

Hosea 13:
  • List the sins of the people of Ephraim.
  • Write out verse 4b.
  • List why the people of Ephraim and Samaria must bear the consequences of their guilt.

Hosea 14:
  • List what Israel is to say when it returns to the Lord.
  • List what will happen to Israel when it returns to the Lord and repents.
  • Write out verse 9.

Revelation 3:
  • Regarding the church in Sardis:
    • List the complaints against the church.
    • List what the church is to do.
    • Regarding the church in Philadelphia:
      • List the good things the church did.
      • List what will happen to the church.
      • Regarding the church in Laodicea:
        • List the description of the church.
        • Write out verses 19 and 20.
        • Go back and read again verses 5, 12, and 21 and list what will happen to those who are victorious.
        • Go back and read again verses 1, 7, and 14, and list the names and description of the one who is giving the message to the churches.
