Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.

The readings for today are Jeremiah 23 and 24 and 2 Timothy 2. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

Jeremiah 23:
  • List the complaints the Lord had against the leaders of the people and what would happen to them.
  • List the names of the ruler the Lord will provide.
  • List the wrong things done by the false prophets.
  • Write out verses 22 and 23.
  • List what a true messenger from the Lord will do.
  • Write out verse 35.

Jeremiah 24:
  • Draw a vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "Rotten Figs" and the right column "Good Figs."
  • From the reading, list what each column represents.

2 Timothy 2:
  • List Paul's instructions to Timothy (hint: find the verbs that Paul uses to command Timothy).
  • Draw a vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "People" and the right column "Christ."
  • List the paradoxes from verses 11-13 in the appropriate column.
  • Write out verses 15 and 16.
  • Write out verse 22.
  • Paul instructs Timothy to avoid arguments. List what Timothy should do instead.
