Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.
The readings for today are Jeremiah 14, 15, and 16 and 1 Timothy 5. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
Jeremiah 14:
- Write out what the people say in verse 7.
- List the reasons why the Lord held back the rain.
- List what the Lord will give the people in return for their wickedness and sins.
- write out the last sentence of verse 22.
Jeremiah 15:
- List where the people can go (verse 2).
- List the four kinds of destroyers and what they will do.
- Write out verse 16.
- Write out what the Lord says in verse 19.
Jeremiah 16:
- List what the Lord has taken away from Judah.
- List the reasons why the Lord has decreed such terrible things against Judah.
- Write out verse 19a.
1 Timothy 5:
- List Paul's instructions concerning:
- older men
- younger men
- older women
- younger women
- List Paul's advice concerning the different situations regarding widows.
- List Paul's instructions concerning elders.
- List Paul's instructions concerning how to handle complaints against elders.
