Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.

The readings for today are Proverbs 3 and 4, and 1 Corinthians 13. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

Proverbs 3:
  • Write out verses 5 and 6.
  • Draw a vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "What we should do" and the right column "Benefits we receive."
  • List the information from the reading in the appropriate column.
  • List the benefits we receive from finding wisdom and understanding.
  • Write out verse 27.
  • List the things that are unwise to do.

Proverbs 4:
  • List what the benefits are of getting good wisdom and judgment.
  • Draw a vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "Wicked" and the right column "Righteous."
  • List what we learn in this chapter in the appropriate column.
  • Write out verse 23.
  • Write out verse 25.

1 Corinthians 13:
  • Paul writes about the value of love. From the reading, note what we learn about love as seen by:
    • its absence (verses 1-3)
    • its presence (verses 4-7)
    • its comparison (you may wish to draw 2 columns here and label the left column "Other" and the right column "Love")
  • Write out verse 13.
