Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.
The readings for today are Proverbs 3 and 4, and 1 Corinthians 13. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.
Proverbs 3:
- Write out verses 5 and 6.
- Draw a vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "What we should do" and the right column "Benefits we receive."
- List the information from the reading in the appropriate column.
- List the benefits we receive from finding wisdom and understanding.
- Write out verse 27.
- List the things that are unwise to do.
Proverbs 4:
- List what the benefits are of getting good wisdom and judgment.
- Draw a vertical line down the center of the page. Label the left column "Wicked" and the right column "Righteous."
- List what we learn in this chapter in the appropriate column.
- Write out verse 23.
- Write out verse 25.
1 Corinthians 13:
- Paul writes about the value of love. From the reading, note what we learn about love as seen by:
- its absence (verses 1-3)
- its presence (verses 4-7)
- its comparison (you may wish to draw 2 columns here and label the left column "Other" and the right column "Love")
- Write out verse 13.
