January 30, 2011: The readings for today are: Exodus 22, 23,  and 24 and Matthew 20:17-34. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.


Exodus 22:

• List the topics or subject areas for which the Lord gave instructions in this chapter.

Exodus 23:

• Continue listing the topics or subject areas for which the Lord gave instructions in this chapter.

• List the Lord's instructions to the Israelites concerning his angel.

• List what God will do for the Israelites if they obey His instructions.

Exodus 24:

• List what Moses did to ceremonially confirm the Lord's covenant with the Israelites.

• List who went up the mountain with Moses and how long Moses stayed on the mountain.

Matthew 20:17-34:

• List what Jesus told his disciples would happen to him.

• List what Jesus taught about leadership.
