Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.

January 28, 2011: The readings for today are: Exodus 16, 17,  and 18 and Matthew 19:16-30. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.


Exodus 16:

  • The Israelites complained about not having food to eat. List how the Lord provided food for them.
  • List the Lord's instructions regarding the gathering and storage of the food.
    Exodus 17:
    • List the two names that Moses gave to the place where he struck the rock for water, and list the reasons for the names.
    • List what happened when Moses raised or lowered his arms during the battle with the Amalekites.
    Exodus 18:
    • List Jethro's advice concerning Moses and his delegation of responsibility.
    Matthew 19:16-30:
    • List what Jesus said were the good things to do to have eternal life and to be perfect.
