Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.

January 29, 2011: The readings for today are: Exodus 19, 20,  and 21 and Matthew 20:1-16. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

Exodus 19:

  • Write out verse 5.
  • List the Lord's instructions for the Israelites to prepare themselves for the Lord's visit.
  • List what happened on the third day.
Exodus 20:

  • List the 10 commandments. It's alright to summarize.
Exodus 21:
  • List the topics that the Lord gave instructions about.
Matthew 20:1-16:

  • Draw two vertical lines down the page to form three columns. Label the left column "When Hired," the center column "Pay Agreement," and the right column "Wage Paid."
  • In the left column, enter the various times of the day that the estate owner hired workers.
  • In the center column, list the pay agreement that the estate owner and the workers entered into.
  • In the right column list the actual wage that the estate owner paid.
