Welcome to Listing Your Way Through the Bible, our unique bible study based on making lists as we work through daily readings.

The readings for today are Psalms 17 and 18 and Acts 19:1-20. Here are some lists for the reader to contemplate while reading.

Psalm 17:
  • This is an interesting list. Write each verb and the noun or noun phrase that follows it; many of the verbs are in command form. For example, in verse 1: "hear my plea" and "listen to my cry."
  • Continue in this manner throughout the psalm.
Psalm 18:
  • List the Lord's attributes in verses 1-3.
  • List David's reasons why the Lord rescued him in verses 19-24.
  • List what the Lord does in verses 25-27.
  • Write out verse 30.
  • Write out verse 35.
  • Write out verse 46.
  • Write out verse 49.
Acts 19:1-20:
  • List what John's baptism was.
  • List the miracles that occurred through Paul.
  • List what happened to the 7 sons of Sceva.
